première semaine de CID SKORNE
Below you will find a list of all of the models currently included in this CID cycle. Take special note of the "things to test" section for each of the new models. These are guidelines and/or discussion points to help spark feedback. Please note that there are many more questions you could ask about these models, so feel free to get creative and do not feel like these are the only questions we wanted answered.
Please remember that asking for additional things to be added to CID or to be changed is against the Terms of Service. Do not make threads asking for things that are not in the list below to change.
New Models:
Immortal Vessel - The Immortal Vessel is an Extoller turned Immortal by Zaal. They are arcane versions of Immortals instead of the normal Warrior type seen before in the game and should reflect that in their rules.
Things to test: Is the access of an channeler to Skorne Warlocks too strong? If so, should limitations be placed on this model? If not, is it a compelling choice? Do you find yourself using the different abilities provided by Soul Taker: Gatekeeper?
Abidan the Keeper: Abidan was a fine warrior. However, his powerful friends pulled some strings and got his Soul encased in an Immortal Vessel. Abidan is a companion type model that is meant to protect an important piece of your army.
Things to test: Is Abidan performing his role appropriately? Are there sufficient models that gain usefulness out of having Abidan attached to them?
Extoller Novititate: An Extoller Novititate is an Extoller who is just beginning their training. As a fine craftsman of Immortals and Ancestral Guardians, the Immortals surrounding a Novititate is kept up to excellent repair and performs well under the stresses of battle. This is shown in it's ability to grant Tough to Immortals and to repair Ancestral and Supreme Guardians.
Things to test: Is the Novititate too easy to remove? Is the addition of Tough to Immortals when combine with the new Theme Benefit too strong? Does it provide enough survivability to the Immortals?
Old models:
Makeda & the Exalted Court: Makeda 3 received a rather extensive upgrade. We see this incarnation of Markeda leading the Skorne Empire into battle from the front lines. Her survivability has been increased as well as her ability to support her army. With spells like Bulwark and Incite she should be rewarded for pushing forward into the opposing army and be able to reasonably survive while on the front lines.
Supreme Aptimus Zaal: Zaal has the change from the Supreme Guardian CID included here. Zaal is part of this CID and is up for discussion during this CID.
Aradus Sentinel & Soldier: Aradus are very slow moving heavy warbeasts. The direction we have taken for this CID is that the Aradus are beasts that are excellent at contesting zones against opponents that do not wish to commit to a close combat fight. With a solid ranged attack on the Sentinel and a rather formidable melee output on the Soldier they give two distinct options for this type of beast.
Bronzeback Titan: The Bronze Back is a melee powerhouse. Destroying basically anything it can get in it's melee range while being a reasonably durable beast with minor utility is what we want from the Bronze Back.
Cyclops Brute: A basic upgrade for the Brute, MAT 6 will bring it in line with the rest of the melee oriented Cyclops.
Desert Hydra: A nice points drop and an increse in the effect of the Spray attacks are nice bumps in power for the Desert Hydra. We removed Concentrated Blast as we did not see much value coming from it once the other sprays were changed. Please provide feedback on this particular point if you feel strongly about it.
Despoiler: Dropping in points keeps Despoiler relevant when many other beasts are changing as well.
Mammoth: Similar to the Hydra, the Mammoth dropped in points as well. The addition of Shooting Gallery is a strong incentive to push forward with the Mammoth.
Razor Worm: A small increase in melee range helps differentiate the Razor Wurm from other options.
Tiberion: Dropping in points will help keep Tiberion relevant with other changes happening around him.
Titan Cannoneer: Additional damage boxes bring the Cannoneer up to the other Titans. A reduction in points help bring it in line with other similar ranged options. We are looking for a more well-rounded beast than the Aradus Sentinel bringing both a solid ranged attack and reasonable melee output.
Immortals & Extoller Advocate: The Immortal Unit saw no changes. We want this unit to be a solid front line unit that can threaten different targets. With buffs from both casters and accompanying solos the Immortals should be a solid combat unit.
Ancestral Guardian: Resonance changed to remove any confusion with the Supreme Guardian and now refers to its self as "this model" instead of by name.
Hakaar the Destroyer: No initial changes to Hakaar.
Aptimus Marketh: No initial changes to Marketh.
Extoller Soulward: No initial changes to the Extoller Soulward
Supreme Guardian: As many are aware, the Supreme Guardian recently had a mini-CID cycle. We are bringing it back in to this cycle for another round of testing with the full picture.
Army Composition
An army made using this theme force can only include the following Skorne models: warlocks, non-character warbeasts, Exalted models/units, Extoller models/units, models/units with Undead XICONX, and Paingiver Beast Handler units.
The Exalted Theme Force: We've changed the benefit that gave Warbeasts Death Rage. Many players seemed to not find this a very compelling benefit and we hope that by focusing the benefits to the Immortals we can create a more cohesive force. I've put the entire theme force below with the change in Italics and bold.

· Skorne warlocks
· non-character warbeasts
· Exalted models/units
· Extoller models/units
· Paingiver Beast Handler units
· Void Spirit solos
Special Rules
· This army can also include one Minion solo and one Minion unit that will work for the Skorne. These models/units can be included even if they have the Partisan [Skorne] special rule. Minion units in this army can include attachments.
· For every full 20 points of Exalted models/units in this army, you can add one Skorne command attachment or solo to the army free of cost. Free solos do not count toward the total number of Exalted models/units in the army when calculating this bonus.
· Exalted models/units in this army gain Immovable Object. (A model with Immovable Object cannot become knocked down, cannot be placed, and cannot be moved by a push, slam, or throw.)
· Models in this army with a Soul Taker ability each begin the game with one soul token.
